About the job: Hours - Vary depending on site, but typically early site at 8am, finishing at 2/3pm. After site work the role requires the reports to be written at home. Mon-Fri. This role is permanent and full time, so will not be suitable for candidates who are self-employed looking for extra work. Location - Ideally the candidate will be located from midlands/Manchester (middle strip of the country) as many of the sites are here as well as one of the other inspectors being located here. It will also make for easier travel to different sites UK wide. Benefits: 30 days holiday from January. Car allowance/company vehicle/mileage allowance depending on what is required. Team After 6 months probation, private healthcare including some dental and optical Base location is Perth but the role will not require travel to Perth other than initial induction. Induction is 1 week, and travel/hotel will be arranged. Candidate in the first few months will work closely with colleagues during training, the length of training will be dependent on their experience. Useful search terms as these are preferred qualifications (not requirements!!): Best candidates come from inspector / surveyor / construction / installer / manufacturer / contractor / fire brigade background.

All forms of structural steel fire protection and fire-stopping require specialist knowledge for correct specification and on-site monitoring. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Flexibility and willingness to travel, including overnight when required.
Professional, ethical and independent.
Willingness to work towards and achieve relevant professional qualifications and continual
professional development. Full UK driving license.
