Pay: Up to $80,000.00 per year Job description: Position Overview Coppersmith Recruitment and Services Inc. is recruiting a Maintenance Supervisor – Mechanical for their client in Little Rock. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for overseeing the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of plant machinery and building equipment (e.g., doors, HVAC, rooftop fans). The supervisor will lead a team of millwrights and engineers, ensure operational efficiency, safety compliance, and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily activities of millwrights and maintenance personnel on shift. Plan, assign, and oversee preventive, breakdown, and shutdown maintenance tasks. Ensure maintenance work quality, proper housekeeping, and spare part availability on the shop floor. Conduct routine inspections and report status to the Mechanical Maintenance Head. Train engineers and technicians in maintenance techniques, Job Safety Analysis, and Lockout/Tagout procedures. Execute equipment upgrades to improve process efficiency and reduce downtime. Implement and maintain SAP/ERP systems for tracking maintenance activities. Ensure OSHA and safety standards are maintained to achieve zero recordable injuries. Coordinate with production supervisors to maintain pipe manufacturing and plant equipment. Perform toolbox talks and ensure effective communication within the team. Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervise millwrights and other maintenance personnel. Responsible for training, performance management, scheduling, and addressing workplace issues in line with company policies. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. 4–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience, including supervisory responsibilities. Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance. Experience with SAP/ERP systems preferred. Proven leadership and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational, communication, and safety compliance skills. Physical Demands & Work Environment Occasionally required to stand, walk, lift/move equipment, and use hands for handling tools. Vision and depth perception required for equipment inspection. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, electrical hazards, and loud noise. Work primarily indoors, but must inspect machinery and respond to operational issues on short notice.
